Portable pulse coercimeters are designed for non-destructive quality control of thermal, thermomechanical or chemothermal treatments, as well as determination of hardness and mechanical properties of parts made of ferromagnetic materials in the presence of a correlation between the controlled and measured parameters. They can be used for steel grade sorting and control of surface layers of ferromagnetic materials. The principle of operation of the devices consists in magnetizing the controlled part of the part with subsequent demagnetization by an increasing field, fixing the field strength corresponding to the coercive force of the part material, and measuring the amplitude of the signal from the Hall sensor.
